Peyronies Disease

Peyronies Disease refers to bothersome curvature of the penis with an erection. The curvature is caused the development of a plaque in one of the erectile bodies of the penis. Up to 10% of men in the United States experience some degree of penile curvature.

Treatment of Peyronies Disease is determined by the degree of curvature and the associated symptoms

  • If pain is associated with the erection, then medication is often recommended until the pain subsides.
  • Milder cases of curvature that do not cause pain or interfere with sexual activity can usually be observed.
  • More severe cases of curvature that interfere with sexual activity often require treatment, which can include
    • Xiaflex injections
    • Plaque Excision and Grafting
    • Inflatable Penile Prosthesis
